I’m launching a new project on a web application, which will allow anyone to register and create quotations easily.

This application is developed for our own use since we are frustrated to use spreadsheet and word processing such as Word, Excel or similar and find ourselves keep repeating what we are doing.

However, instead of just using it for ourselves, we are looking forward to offer this solution to those who are in similar situation and looking forward to improve productivity in this area.

Website for Business

Being involved in websites since 1995 and business experiences, I’ve consolidated some of my understanding about how websites can benefit businesses. For newbies, they may find it difficult to grasp the idea. Not to mention trying to explain it to them.

However, I’ve come up with a simple mind map about how website technologies can benefit businesses from all walks. You may not need all the items in the diagram, you can mix and match to your needs.

Note that this is the first version (after a few drafts) of the diagram. I will be adding more to it when applicable.

I believe in “The more we give, the more we shall receive” as the saying goes “What goes around, comes around”.

In this article, I would briefly cover what my website consists of and therefore gives you an idea what you should do with yours.

The point here is marketing.

Marketing is all about communicating.

If you have knowledge or expertise but no one knows about it – isn’t that a sad story?

If you think that you don’t have much thing to share, think again. I once thought that what I know, there’s many that already knew it. And that kept me quiet for awhile. Even Gene have something interesting.

So, apart from spending time writing or producing content to share, you need to know how to set it up correctly so your exposure is maximized. You’ll need exposure to keep you going 🙂

Then, your business will need to focus on the following – Marketing, Customer Service and Customer Experience. Also known as RPAs or Revenue Producing Activities.

It is all about your customers. Without them, your business have no meaning to exist in the first place.

Therefore, the next level of websites would be the Website-Office Integration (WOI) model.

An automated website fully integrated to the back-end systems with capabilities of sharing information between the office systems for processing.

Since offices are the back-end fulfillment centers for any businesses, higher efficiency of office and higher usability of website can be achieved simultaneously by integrating both the website and office system together to create a better Customer Experience in total.

First, let’s define the purpose of your website. What is the objective of your website?

  • Do you want to create a website that is frequently used and popular?
  • Do you want to generate income from your website and make it as a profit center year after year after year?

When a visitor drops by to your website, you only have 30 seconds to get their attention to involved with your company. Some studies suggests only 7 seconds.

How much money and time that you have spend on your website?

And all you get is 30 seconds if ever some visitors come to your website.

Then you really need to grab your visitors fast just like catching fishes with your bare hands .
