Do you agree that small things make the biggest impact. One of a good example is Twitter.

Less is more. With 140 characters for each message, Twitter has grown wild and have been successful within the web in a very short time.

Now that Twitter is around for a while and there’s an established presence, entrepreneurs and companies should start looking at leveraging on Twitter.

Without delving too deep, let’s start by looking at what are the benefits we can expect from using Twitter.

Establish Loyalty

Loyalty allows a business or company to have consistent revenue based on repeat purchases and referrals.

Twitter allows you to be more accessible, more sociable, more trustworthy.

Maintain Sight

This is pure marketing, out of sight = out of mind. A consistent flow of short messages can maintain relationship and remind your followers of your existence.

Build up a List of Contacts

Allow people to follow you in twitter. All your updates will be visible to them once they follow you.

This is the asset of many marketing efforts. A targeted list or database of contacts, not just any contacts, will provide leverage on future marketing efforts almost immediately, making it much easier to boost up sales.

This is what I’ve written back in year 2002

My article about Knowledge Workers written back when I just started business not long ago.

In my opinion, knowledge worker is an important concept to grasp.

Just a little side note, I’m currently working on increasing value for everyone I know (my colleagues) by turning them to knowledge workers rather than labor workers.

Labor vs Knowledge

As it may be obvious, knowledge is power.

Those who work on improving on knowledge has higher chance of earning a better income with better lifestyle. Compared to laborious work, it is more towards active income where the income stops as soon as the work stops.
