Let’s Offer Some Packages!

Package is defined as a bundle; something which is packed; or the art of packing something.

As a consumer or buyer, we would be interested or happy to consider buying a package rather than individual item.

The packages may sounds more logical or “value for money” and it is a temptation for most buyers.

Some benefits of coming up with a package includes:

  1. Save time and headache for buyers
  2. Perceived as a special offer
  3. Value for money (to buyer)
  4. Increase temptation to buy
  5. Bulk sales (to seller)

You’ll need something that you can show as a package rather than just words.

Either a well-designed box or pack or a layout photo of items in the package would do the trick.

For books, software or any products on boxes, you can use some software to create the 3D images that are almost realistic.

You do not need the real box but to assist in selling, the virtual package picture is better than words. Below are 2 that are offering such software:

You can offer your packages in several ways or conditions.

Refer to examples below:

  • Buy Item A comes with Package (free items)
  • Buy Package A that includes Item A and other related items
  • Buy Package A that have Item A and other items + conditional items
    • Conditional items is when the customer has met certain criteria such as time, quantity or referrals.
    • This will impose some limitation that creates scarcity.

This “packaging” strategy can be effective when applied properly.
